Job Summary

The O&M Director plans, controls, monitors, and exercises events execution under the program life cycle and supports the Sr. Director of Operations to ensure satisfactory completion of Task Order project objectives.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide leadership for all disciplines performing facilities maintenance services including, but not limited to, roads and grounds, electrical, power generation, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration, solid and liquid waste disposal, medical incineration, and construction on design build projects
  • Oversee process development, implementation, and maintenance in response to changing requirements for O&M functions in Base Life Support (BLS)
  • Oversee execution of project electrical power generation, power distribution, inspection of electrical installation, and maintenance of facilities and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Manage, control, and execute activities associated with the development of plans and exercises to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations, including cost and quality while maintaining company profit motives
  • Implement policies, practices and revisions to existing policies and practices as required to meet Company, contracts and order requirements
  • Provide guidance and oversight to Operation Center Managers, Regional Supervisors, Project Leads, and Site Operations Staff
  • Develop and provide Standard and Desktop Operating Procedures for Theater Operations
  • Tack and monitor of all Letters of Technical Direction (LOTDs)
  • Ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction by quality on-time performance and best return for their investment
  • Provide management guidance and control for the efficient utilization of human resources assignment, performance, morale and overall welfare assigned
  • Oversee the startup, control and shutdown of equipment for efficient, economical and environmental standards
  • Act as a point-of-contact for operation matters relating to contract for representative between customer and management team
  • Provide status to upper management of operations and approaches on solution to problems of the operations
  • Identify infrastructure work required to include: refurbishment, water distribution, systems, waste water, environmental, lubricants systems, electrical distribution, power generators, etc.
  • Recognize and pursue changes in contract scope and/or workload
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and other practices set forth by upper management directives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Complete understanding of operations of assigned contract
  • Attention to details and able to handle multiple tasks independently
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of various computer applications (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Experience & Education

  • Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field (such as HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, civil/electrical engineering, or power generation) with at least five (5) years in a managerial role
  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
