The Class 1 Warehouse Lead leads a field team in performing warehouse, inventory, supply, and daily workflow duties.
Principal Accountabilities
Lead and instruct field team on proper receiving, storage, and issuing of warehouse items
Ensure the process of First In, First Out, First to Expire (FIFOFE) is maintained at all times in accordance with requirements
Monitor and analyze operational data and reports to verify compliance with established policies, procedures, and work standards
Ensure compliance with current regulations and directives regarding financial inventory and accounting
Oversee preparation of material control and accounting input for data processing and review output documents for accuracy
Inspect and evaluate inventory management activities including storage and rotation of stock upon food deliveries
Prepare reports on materials, supplies, and equipment availability, storage space, and relocation
Properly resolve or refer personnel and operational issues as they arise
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of asset management, ground transportation, and distribution administration
Skill in analyzing and evaluating Subsistence Total Order and Receipt Electronic System (STORES) food service software and Defense Transportation System reports, quality control, and traffic management functions
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and resolve issues as they occur
Experience & Education
Minimum five (5) years of experience in a warehouse environment with at least one (1) year of supervisory or OCONUS/combat zone work
Experience as liaison representative between military services, commercial agencies, and host nation elements
Experience in effectively handling personnel issues, cargo documentation, and logistical movement control
High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Medically clear for food service operations
Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
Must be able to meet the medical deployment requirements IAW CENTCOM MOD 15
Travel
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Qualifications
Must have ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance at proper level
